About the Role The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building brand equity for Zembo in Uganda and across the East African region. This role leads both strategic and operational aspects of sales and marketing, overseeing customer acquisition, retention, distribution partnerships, rider financing, and brand positioning. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution Marketing & Brand Management Customer & Market Insights Team Leadership & Partnerships Key Skills Strategic thinking and hands-on execution Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Proficiency in CRM tools, digital marketing, and data analysis Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and mission-driven environment Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including 2+ years in a senior leadership role Demonstrated experience using social media business advertising platforms to manage ad campaigns and lead generation Good Knowledge of campaign building, AB testing for the different campaigns, and utilizing them for the sales lead generation process. Strong Knowledge of lead conversion, customer retention, and the lead generation cycle. Experience in automotive, motorcycle, mobility, or energy sectors is highly desirable. Strong understanding of go-to-market models, channel sales, and customer acquisition in emerging markets. Demonstrated success in scaling commercial operations in a growth-stage company.
