Sales Engineer
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team in Cape Town. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading automation brands to deliver tailored solutions across a diverse industrial client base.
Product Portfolio:
Our portfolio includes leading global brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rittal, LAPP, Balluff, Cognex, Troax, and Murrelektronik.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Respond to customer inquiries, including technical queries
- Present technical products and solutions clearly and confidently
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth
- Continuously develop technical knowledge of automation products and applications
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide market feedback
- Attend networking events and industry trade shows
Requirements
Education:
- Engineering/Electrical qualification advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
Experience:
- 2–5 years’ experience in technical sales
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation components, including PLCs, switchgear, VSDs, safety systems, sensors (IO-Link), vision systems, and cabling
- Proven track record of matching products to client needs and achieving sales targets
- Established network in Western Cape/Cape Town
