About the Product Compliance Officer role
The Product Compliance Officer serves as a senior assistant to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), focused on creating executive capacity and ensuring smooth functioning of the practical and administrative duties of the Product department. This includes administration of product compliance, product data administration, product lifecycle management tools and other general and day to day functions within the department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Focus of role:
- Assist with EPR administration and liaison with PRO.
- Administration of Product Compliance processes.
- Oversee product data administration function.
- Assist in execution of product-related projects and new initiatives.
- Assist the CPO in any other areas of the department as required.
- Develop systems to manage product lifecycles
- Ensure that product data management structures serve the business well, with as little friction as possible, while ensuring that business requirements are met.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
Work closely with group stakeholders and role players:
- Understand the needs of the business.
- Work to improve and streamline product related processes and workstreams.
- Upskill the relevant people in the group on product compliance.
- Use tools and systems provided fully to track open product compliance tasks.
- Ensure that Product staff are supported and upskilled in their roles.

Experience includes but is not limited to:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree/ NQF7 in related fields, or equivalent qualification.
- Product data management and administrations experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- NetSuite
- Microsoft Office Package
Personal Competency Requirements:
- Computer literacy – highly Computer literate and comfortable with basic technical aspects of common operating systems with Microsoft Office general excellence
- Competent Professional business written and verbal communications skills. The ability to express yourself clearly and effectively within the company.
- An ability to provide excellent customer service - Serviced focus by responding to customers’ needs by doing it right the first time.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Disciplined Approach by being Punctual, Strong Attendance Record, getting back to customers, suppliers and internal staff and returning calls.

- Experience related to the electronics industry preferable.
