Junior Service & Support Engineer

The role provides support to senior technicians and engineers in handling day-to-day technical queries within the branch and assisting with customer service-related technical tasks. This position is designed to help build technical capability within the branch and support after-sales service under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with customer technical support requests escalating complex issues to senior staff.
- Accompany senior technicians on local site visits to:
- Support commissioning of new systems.
- Observe and assist in diagnosing faulty equipment.
- Learn to troubleshoot system issues.
- Assist in processing warranty claims under guidance.
- Help sales consultants with basic technical questions about products and systems.
- Support the documentation of technical issues and potential solutions.
- Attend supplier or internal training sessions as required.
- Assist with record-keeping and updating the company CRM with supervision.
- Participate in team meetings and learning activities to develop technical skills and product knowledge.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/NQF4 equivalent.
- 1–2 years of exposure or experience in a technical support, electrical, or backup power environment is preferred.
- A basic electrical qualification or relevant technical diploma is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
