Role Overview
The Vice President of Corporate Finance will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing Yellow Door Energy’s financial strategy as the company continues to expand across the Middle East and Africa. This position will focus on debt-based capital raising, M&A, capital structuring, and financial risk management—ensuring long-term financial sustainability and enabling continued growth.
The role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Finance, Business Development, Legal, Risk, and Operations, as well as external partners such as banks, DFIs, equity investors, and advisors.
While the position is based in Dubai, we are also open to candidates in Johannesburg with strong regional experience and willingness to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities
KRA 1: Strategic Leadership in Corporate Finance
- Lead the development and execution of YDE’s corporate finance strategy, focusing on securing debt financing through a variety of facilities (e.g. non-recourse project finance, credit lines, structured instruments)
- Analyze and optimize the capital structure to balance debt, equity, and hybrid instruments
- Identify and execute M&A opportunities, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures
- Oversee deal structuring, negotiations, and post-transaction integration
- Represent YDE at investor meetings and financial forums as a senior financial spokesperson
KRA 2: Financial Oversight and Risk Management
- Lead the structuring and execution of project finance transactions with a strong focus on bankability and risk mitigation
- Oversee financial modeling, investment analysis, and forecasting to support project development and corporate decision-making
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions to ensure funding for current and future projects
- Develop and implement financial risk management frameworks across the organization
KRA 3: Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing corporate finance team
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure cohesive financing and investment decisions
- Mentor and develop internal talent, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ownership
Requirements
✅ Essential
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CFA/CPA preferred
- 10–15 years of experience in corporate finance, including project finance, debt structuring, M&A, and capital markets
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
- Experience working with banks and financial institutions in the Middle East and/or South Africa
✅ Preferred
- Background in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector
- Experience operating in emerging markets and managing cross-border financial transactions
- Track record in leading large, diverse teams and influencing executive stakeholders
