West Africa Blue is a community-centric developer of blue carbon projects in West Africa, partnering with local communities and governments to preserve, restore, and sustainably manage coastal ecosystems. Their projects focus on high integrity carbon initiatives, particularly blue carbon, and aim to set the standard for community-centric carbon projects in the region. With a diverse team experienced in marine science and carbon project development, they are working on some of the first large-scale blue carbon projects in Africa, which have the potential to exemplify community engagement and financial sustainability. Their initiatives also aim to create long-term income sources for stakeholders through equitable benefit-sharing agreements, while addressing climate change and supporting local economies.
