Job Opportunity:Under the direction of the End User Services Manager and following established IT policies, standards, and procedures, the Regional IT Support Specialist provides technical support to Water Mission staff throughout the assigned region. The Regional IT Support Specialist assists with the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of end-user technology to ensure staff have reliable and secure access to the tools they need to perform their work. Working closely with the Regional IT Support Specialist and other members of the IT team, this position provides timely technical assistance, resolves assigned service requests, and supports regional IT projects. Because Water Mission seeks to share the news of the Living Water, all employees are expected to share the gospel through their words and actions. This position is based in the assigned region and requires travel of approximately 20–30%.General Duties Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.Engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings.Lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions. IT Service Requests Respond to assigned IT service requests and incidents in accordance with established service level objectives while maintaining accurate ticket documentation.Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, Microsoft 365, printer, mobile device, and conferencing issues.Escalate issues requiring additional technical expertise or approval. End User Device Support Prepare and deploy Windows laptops and other approved endpoint devices.Install approved software and updates.Configure peripherals including monitors, docking stations, printers, webcams, and other accessories.Ensure devices meet Water Mission IT standards before deployment. Regional Technical Support Travel to regional offices to provide onsite technical support when required.Assist with workstation deployments, office moves, and technology refresh projects.Assist with installation of network-connected devices and escalate infrastructure issues when appropriate. IT Security Follow Water Mission IT security policies and procedures when supporting end-user technology.Report suspected security incidents promptly.Ensure approved security software is functioning properly on supported devices. Fluent in English required.Highly self-motivatedCustomer service focused.Driven to achieve excellence.Hands-on competence and experience in supporting IT end-user solutions and services.Technology experience to include MS Windows, MS Office, Network appliances, Windows, Mac, and Android Laptops/Devices, and Conference room technology, e.g., MS Teams.IT certification/training preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+).Travel to Africa countries where Water Mission has staff/offices as needed, approximately 20% - 30%.Legal authorization to work in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Malawi without sponsorship.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback constructively. Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities.Commitment to ending the global water crisis.
