We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Technology and Operations team. Reporting to the Data and Reporting Lead, this role plays a key part in supporting data-driven decision-making across the business by delivering accurate analysis, insightful reporting, and actionable recommendations that enhance operational performance and support Victory Farms’ mission of responsible aquaculture.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop reports, analyze operational data, and support technology initiatives that align with business objectives. In addition, you will help ensure data integrity, maintain reporting standards, and contribute to continuous improvement through reliable insights and compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection, Cleansing and Analysis

• Gather and consolidate data from various sources including production systems, environmental sensors, operational databases, spreadsheets, and APIs.
• Cleanse and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify and resolve any data quality issues or discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of data sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.

2. Reporting and Performance Monitoring

• Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, feed efficiency, water quality, etc.
• Customize reporting solutions to meet the specific needs of stakeholders.
• Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or specialized visualization software to create interactive and dynamic reports.
• Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency and provide timely insights to decision-makers.

3. Insights and Decision Support

• Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and aquaculture teams to develop data driven strategies for production planning, stocking densities, etc.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate the impact of different variables on performance and profitability.

4. Data Governance and Compliance

• Implement access controls and security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Develop and maintain documentation for data dictionaries, data lineage, and metadata to facilitate data governance and compliance efforts.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand their data analysis needs and requirements.
• Translate business questions into actionable insights and data-driven recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
2. 2+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on visualization tools such as Power BI development and tabular data modeling.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, DAX or similar.
4. Strong understanding of data governance principles, compliance requirements, and best practices.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Proven track record of leading and delivering complex data analysis projects from inception to completion.
9. Certification in Power BI or related technologies is a plus.
