The Supply Chain Execution team, an integral part of the Service Supply Chain organization, comprises over 150 experienced professionals overseeing all supply chain operations across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa. At the core of our function, Supply Chain Execution acts as the vital bridge connecting our supply chain operations with both our internal and external customers. We are committed to ensuring the seamless delivery of our promised service levels. In our ongoing effort to enhance the customer experience within Service Operations and Transactional Sales, your role, together with our team of another 14 skilled supply chain professionals, becomes pivotal. You will help to further close the gap between Supply Chain and our customers, playing a crucial role in this transformative agenda. Operating at the intersection of Supply Chain Planning-ensuring optimal inventory levels-and Service Operations, which demands the highest levels of availability, your primary responsibility, alongside our team, will be to streamline and optimize our supply chain activities. This optimization is instrumental in empowering our stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted turbine operations, a mission that is critical to ensuring reliable performance.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide effective leadership as the supply chain's main point of contact in ZA, MENA and Africa. Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within a diverse team spanning multiple countries across the region
- Strategy Formulation and Alignment: Collaborate closely with your team to define and implement strategic initiatives, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs), aligning the Supply Chain with the evolving needs of Service Operations and the Transactional Sales team
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Systematically identify, assess, and manage major supply risks and constraints within the region. Implement robust contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions
- Optimization of Turbine Operations: Strategically manage and reduce the instances of turbines being stopped due to spare part unavailability. Develop and execute initiatives that streamline spare part delivery, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency
- Timely Spare Part Supply: Ensure timely supply of parts for contractual business, Transactional Sales and CIM cases
Qualifications
- Educational Background and Experience: Possession of a relevant university degree combined with substantial experience in Service Operations, supply chain, or logistics, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices
- Stakeholder Management: Effective stakeholder management skills to effectively navigate and align diverse interests across departments and regions
- Industry Knowledge: A robust understanding of the wind industry or similar sectors, providing valuable insights and perspectives crucial to optimizing supply chain activities within the specific industry landscape
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both spoken and written, enabling clear and effective communication across global teams and stakeholders

Additional information
This position is based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and requires up to 10 days of travel per year.
