Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and the safe operation of machinery, emphasizing the optimization of plant performance
  • Monitor, assess, and report on equipment using Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) standards, conducting audits and providing feedback to the eBoP Coordinator
  • Lead and motivate maintenance teams, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and learning, while conducting root cause analysis and problem-solving to enhance plant performance
  • Oversee CAPEX planning, execution, and control, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Oversee asset optimization and reliability, evaluate and improve asset lifecycle, and maintain adherence to both national and international standards
  • Committed to maintaining a zero-harm environment, promoting innovation, developing cross-functional teams, and upholding high safety, quality, and operational standards across all aspects of machinery management

Qualifications

  • A qualification in Engineering
  • A Government Certificate of Competency is mandatory

    • Deep understanding of General Machinery Regulations (GMR 2.1)
    • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
    • Ability to ensure machinery complies with national and international standards

    • Proficiency in RBI methodologies
    • Ability to assess equipment condition and prioritize maintenance based on risk
  • Engineering Expertise
    • Proficient foundation in mechanical/electrical engineering principles
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) - mandatory

    • Asset lifecycle evaluation and optimization
    • Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM)

Additional information

This position requires over 70% domestic travel.
