We are a pioneering solar matchmaking startup dedicated to connecting Nigerians with optimal solar energy solutions. Our platform leverages advanced algorithms and industry expertise to streamline the process of finding, comparing, and implementing solar energy projects, ensuring maximum efficiency and savings for our clients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Business Development Associate to spearhead our efforts in acquiring larger clients. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen and business development skills to identify, engage, and secure partnerships with high-profile businesses seeking solar energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

  • Identify and target large-scale businesses and organisations that would benefit from solar energy solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to secure new business and drive revenue growth.

2. Technical Expertise:

  • Understand and communicate the technical aspects and benefits of solar energy systems to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to design tailored solar solutions that meet client needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and the competitive landscape.

3. Sales Enablement:

  • Lead negotiations and close deals with high-value clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as product demos, pitch decks, case studies, and FAQs.
  • Train the sales team on product positioning and key messaging to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

4. Market Research and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and market trends.
  • Develop and execute BD strategies to expand our client base.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance our platform and services.

5. Go-To-Market Strategy:

  • Plan and execute strategies for new product launches and feature updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success) to ensure alignment and effective execution.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar.
  • Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and solutions.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing large client accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
