Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Officer to join our dynamic sales team and play a key role in driving sales growth. Your primary focus will be on bringing in new business by effectively communicating the benefits of solar energy to clients, designing custom solar systems based on their needs, and managing relationships with installers and partners. You will use your networking skills to generate leads, close deals, and meet sales targets. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, with a passion for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers in a warm, speedy, and professional manner.
  • Understand clients’ energy needs and design customised solar systems that meet those requirements.
  • Coordinate and organise installations with solar partners and installers, ensuring timely and smooth delivery.
  • Negotiate with solar partners and installers to secure the best value for our customers.
  • Use our software to fast-track deals and manage customer pipelines.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and relationship-building.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to explain the features and benefits of our solar solutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors’ activities, and emerging technologies in the solar space.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ability to develop relationships and negotiate effectively with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects and leads simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems.
  • Strong networking skills and a proactive approach to generating new business.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems and products or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical clients.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
