About the role:
UpEnergy is at a time of exciting growth, expanding both in terms of product and geographic portfolio. In the
context of our expansion in the Ghana market, we are looking for an experienced Call Back & Data Support Officer who is passionate about our mission and motivated by the challenge to help UpEnergy met targets in a new key market. The Call Back & Data Support Officer will be responsible for supporting in country data activities, this will include providing quality control support to data teams to ensure compliance to carbon crediting programs and requirements, and also providing operational support on carbon activities.
This role will not only require someone who is very organized, capable of managing large datasets but has a good understanding of data analysis and management in projects, has good interpersonal and leadership skills and likes conducting research, and testing out new ideas.
The Call Back & Data Support Officer will also have the opportunity to actively participate in key operational
projects to advance UpEnergy’s business in Ghana.
This role will report to the Ghana Carbon Operations Manager, and also correspond with Data Officer QC Ghana. The role is based in Accra, Ghana.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Data Analysis
- Designing and maintain a filing system for hard and soft copies of documents at office and Dropbox
respectively.
- Consolidation and reconciliation weekly sales by comparing downloaded data against scanned receipts.
- Ensuring the delivery, sorting, and distribution of hardcopy sales receipts to the responsible data team
members. I.e. scanning team, D-receipts and Partner receipts.
- Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data in order to increase sales productivity.
- Work with management to provide customized reporting that will inform management
recommendations.
- Support marketing research to determine end-user demand which will inform product sourcing decisions
and price setting.
- Support marketing function with data analysis where required ·
- Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources of the UpEnergy databases
and take appropriate action.
- Flagging corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems to a standardized format needed
by the department.
- Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that
could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction of business decisions.
- Providing quality control support to data teams to assess and validate compliance of sales data to carbon
requirements.
- Other administrative support which may include but not limited handling the office customer care line
and controlling issuing of receipt books to the sales team.
Does this sound like you?
Must Have
- Relevant Diploma or Degree
- 2+ years of experience in research, data management and climate change related projects
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be a plus
- Experience in survey development and management (familiar with Kobo-Collect, ODK, among other
mobile data collection platforms)
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
Nice to Have
- An understanding of customers and business culture in Ghana.
