About the role:

UpEnergy Ghana is experiencing an exciting phase of growth and expansion. We are seeking a proactive and organized Logistics Officer to support day-to-day logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations across the country.

The Logistics Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of products, supporting last-mile distribution and inventory accuracy. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and works closely with warehouse staff, transporters, agents, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Distribution

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation of products from Production site to warehouses and from warehouses to distribution points.
  • Support the execution of distribution plans to ensure timely delivery of improved cookstoves and other products to agents and end-users.
  • Liaise with transporters and logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery schedules.

Warehousing & Inventory Support

  • Assist in day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and stock organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Monitor stock movements and report discrepancies, damages, or losses promptly.

Operational Support

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in implementing logistics and inventory procedures and standard operating processes.
  • Prepare basic logistics and inventory reports, including delivery status, stock levels, and transport costs.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all logistics and stock movements.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure logistics and warehouse operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Support adherence to local transport, warehousing, and regulatory requirements in Ghana.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with sales, field teams, and warehouse staff to support demand fulfillment and distribution efficiency.
  • Identify and communicate operational challenges and suggest practical improvements to logistics processes.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, renewable energy, or distribution-focused organizations.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and basic logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with warehouse documentation, stock tracking, and transport coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery timelines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of last-mile distribution operations in Ghana.
  • Professional certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., CILT, CIPS – foundation level).
