About the Role

UpEnergy is launching a series of high-rigor pilots in 2026 across Electric, Water and ICS vertical for household and institutional users. We are looking for a driven, analytical, and customer-obsessed Project Coordinator to ensure that participants experience seamless onboarding, consistent usage, and high satisfaction throughout the pilot lifecycle.

You will serve as the frontline connection between users, field operations, and the product team. You will ensure smooth execution of pilot activities, manage data collection and reporting, solve customer issues, and generate insights that drive product improvements, behaviour change strategies, and carbon credit outcomes.

This is a critical role for ensuring operational excellence, customer experience, and data integrity across multiple pilots.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Success & Field Execution (Households + Institutions)

  • Lead onboarding, training, and support for household users and institutional users (schools, restaurants, hospitals, etc.) participating in pilot programs.
  • Manage end-to-end device setup, usage training, troubleshooting, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain high engagement through proactive check-ins, usage monitoring, and interventions to reduce charcoal fallback.
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, school administrators, cooks, and household decision-makers.
  • Ensure timely communication of project updates, expectations, and results to all customer segments.

2. Pilot Management & Coordination

  • Serve as the operational point-person for pilot activities in Ghana.
  • Coordinate logistics: device distribution, replacements, maintenance, training sessions, and data collection.
  • Work closely with Product, Carbon, Behavioural Science, and Operations teams to execute pilot protocols with accuracy and consistency.
  • Track pilot timelines, deliverables, and risks; escalate issues early.
  • Manage field agents ensuring high-quality data capture.

3. Data Management & Insights

  • Oversee high-quality data collection using SurveyCTO, smart meters, or device logs.
  • Conduct data checks, cleaning, and preliminary analysis before submission to the Data team.
  • Generate weekly and monthly customer success dashboards summarising insights and trends.
  • Provide recommendations based on user behaviour, operational bottlenecks, and qualitative feedback.

4. Customer Issue Resolution

  • Provide frontline remote and in-person support for technical issues, device malfunctions and usage challenges.
  • Track complaints and resolution times; maintain a customer ticketing system.
  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to escalate repeated issues or product defects.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Product team to design and refine pilot protocols.
  • Work with Behavioural Science teams to implement incentives, A/B tests, and communication experiments.

6. Reporting

  • Deliver clear weekly field reports summarising progress, customer stories, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Present learnings and customer insights during product, carbon, and management reviews.

Must have

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Engineering, Data Analytics, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer success, field operations, project management, or program coordination—preferably in clean energy, tech, or social impact sectors.
  • Strong project management skills: planning, execution, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with diverse customer groups.
  • Solid data skills: working knowledge of Excel/Sheets, dashboards, surveying tools (SurveyCTO, and comfort interpreting usage data.
  • Experience supporting both B2C and B2B/institutional users.
  • Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and adapt to fast-changing environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience in clean cooking, renewable energy, last-mile distribution, or carbon projects.
  • Skills in data analysis, data quality assurance, or basic data interpretation.
  • Experience running pilots, behavioural interventions, or field experiments.
  • Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
