About the role:

Sayari Safi is at a time of exciting growth, and rapidly expanding into new geographies and new product categories. As part of the growth ambition we are looking for a Production Operations Supervisor that will bring manage and optimise the production facility of our energy efficient cook stoves. We are looking for someone who has high regard to Health and safety, technical skills and ability to manage performance output through people.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities and equipment

• Supervising maintenance of machinery, housekeeping, and storage of items
• Determine ideal resources, tools and teams required for production facilities to meet production demand
• Supervise usage and maintenance of energy and power such as; heat, light, air conditioners, electricity, steam, water and compressed air.

Material and Supplies

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of raw materials together with the Supply chain and procurement.
• Work alongside procurement teams to identify best raw materials available for production Quality Assurance & Consistency
• Ensure optimised level of material for production requirements at all times and minimising wastage of material
• Deliver and document complete product stock to warehouse

Human Resources

• Optimising manpower requirements to meet production targets, including hiring.
• Managing performance, grievances, attendance and behaviour as per company values.
• Training on Health and Safety protocols and ensuring protocols are followed. Training on operational manuals, blue prints.
• Reporting Incidents, investigating and providing preventative measures

Cost and Budget control

• Manage production expenditure by forecasting material needs in advance with the management team, minimising material wastage.
• Adhering to the budget allocated without comprising effectiveness and quality

Quality Control and Output production

• Manage production quality of each unit as per the product standard, ensuring minimised product defects and service errors
• Strategize and operate for meeting monthly output production targets, without affecting quality assurance.
• Any other activities as requested by management

Qualifications and Technical experience

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial, Chemical
• 3-5 years of relevant experience managing production facility

Technical skills

• Machine operations and machine maintenance
• Health and Safety standards
• Experience managing over 100 Technicians
• Communication in Kiswahili and English
