A typical Smarthome stove saves each family about 9% of their annual income while reducing air pollution.
UpEnergy has a 10-year track record of building projects that overperform expectations in the generation of emissions reductions, and that deliver on our performance promises to our customers. We are one of the largest developers by volume of projects focused on poverty alleviation through energy savings and fuel switching. Our team has a collective 50 years of climate finance experience and is at the forefront of Paris-era project finance.
About the role:
UpEnergy is at a time of exciting growth, and rapidly expanding into new geographies and new product categories. As part of this growth, we are looking to build a competent distribution team that can take our life changing products into the right homes, while ensuring that we have the right end-user data to measure and assess impact.
The Junior Operations Analyst will play a critical role in UpEnergy. As an Junior Operations Analyst, you are responsible for reporting daily and weekly sales agent performance against departmental and company KPIs, reconciling daily sales with sales agents to match self-reported sales numbers with all sales recorded in our CRM, reconciling agent bankings with the finance department to ensure that cash from all sales is banked, monitoring the fleet and monitoring fuel usage by sales agent's sales trucks, preparing weekly budgets for sales agent facilitation, and organizing resources for distribution team meetings, trainings, and field trips.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & analytics
- Performance reporting: Report on daily and weekly distribution agents’ performance against departmental and company KPIs and communicate the results to various stakeholders within and outside the distribution team.
- Perform basic maintenance and updating of performance tracking tools such as Dashboards, Reporting forms and Report.
- Reconcile daily sales with distribution agents to match self-reported sales numbers with all sales recorded in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Breaking down high-level distribution targets for all products to individual sales agent targets
- Monitor and maintain the distribution fleet management dashboard to track movement of Agents and monitor fuel usage by agents' trucks.
Distribution operations:
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile agent bankings, ensuring that cash from all sales is accurately banked.
- Resolve all pending OTP verification issues on a daily basis to ensure that we achieve 100% OTP verification month on month.
- Budget Preparation: Prepare weekly budgets for sales agent facilitation, ensuring appropriate allocation and use of resources.
- Coordinate the collection of data from our e-cooking pilots and projects
Does this sound like you?
- 3 to 5 years of experience preferably working with financial and/ or operational data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor and interpret sales performance data and sales reconciliation.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (MS Excel and Google sheets)
- Proficiency in using CRM systems is an added advantage
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reconciling sales data and financial records.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources effectively.
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills relevant to the role and the industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including distribution, finance, product development and data.

The position will be based in Kampala,Uganda . Regarding timing, we are looking for the right candidate to start as soon as possible.
