QUALIFICATIONS:

- Relevant industry experience in lieu of qualification.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 3-5 years in a Solar PV environment or engineering project management environment.
- Experience within Operations and Maintenance in the Renewable Energy sector would be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and associated components.
- Familiarity with monitoring systems and data analysis tools.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external service providers.
- Knowledge and application of relevant compliance requirements with complex contractual entities.
- Must be fully proficient in English (verbal and written communication)
- Must be fully computer literate (MS Office Suite and Google App Suite)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Operations and Maintenance Management:
- Manage Portfolio of sites and O&M Portfolio Managers in the team.
- Oversee Daily monitoring of Meteocontrol VCOM and Copper – ensuring plants are performing optimally (Monitoring to be performed at string level).
- Review Offline Meter list and ensure minimal downtime in accordance to the O&M response matrix.
- Review Inverter offlines on VCOM list and ensure minimal downtime in accordance to the O&M response matrix.
- Review of plant yield mechanisms (PR or Yield Guarantee percentage) and ensure plant yields meet stipulated monthly guarantees.
- Oversee and Drive alerts to O&M team for equipment misproductions, cleaning of plants, periodic inspections and oversee repair/replacement process.
- PVDB offline
- Inverter offline
- >10% of DC plant offline
- Communicate with Site
- Track and Quantify BOO plant production and production interruption events (loadshedding, low irradiance, module theft, module upliftment, inverter misproduction, plant offlines and so on).
- Establish Weekly check in and feedback meetings with O&M Manager.
- Perform Red Flag Analysis weekly and notify Head of Asset Management and Head of O&M for intervention.
- Equipment Audits to identify nonperforming brands/equipment types.
- Introduce cost saving initiatives.
- Oversee and Track O&M and Metering Activities till Completion of Activity.
- Manage Subcontractors for cleans and Technical Works.
- Execute the Management Service Agreements for the portfolio of projects for which you are responsible.
- Assist your line manager on projects and tasks as required.
- Tracking of Equipment Warranties and notifying in advance when warranties are close to lapsing.
- Alert Account manager / Client as to significant System events by next business day.
- Work closely with Head of Asset Management to drive operational efficiency strategies.
- Manage and coordinate projects within built and operational BOO Assets.
- Drive operational efficiency strategies by utilising Lean and Six Sigma Principles.
- Perform SPV logs for plants under your portfolio.
- Serve as Technical Advisor for upcoming plants per region.
Document Control:
- Keeping the site-specific maintenance records up to date by logging the specific dates that plants were serviced.
- Review of post construction handover documentation and ensuring that the electronic copies are captured into the relevant O&M folders on SharePoint.
- Monitor plant in accordance with the O&M contract.
- Generate quarterly yield performance reports for Asset Owners per Portfolio.
Commercial and Financial:
- Solid Understanding of O&M SLA and PPA’s.
- Perform Yield (kWh) Budgets (Predicted vs Actual), forecast for 3 months ahead, per portfolio.
- Perform loss of revenue analysis (Power Outage events, Customer production disruption events (out of contract), weather induced events).
- Ensure invoicing is correctly performed per generated energy and ensure correct tariffs are applied.
- Oversee application of Tariff changes/ contractual increases in PPA rates.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Plant SPV reports with detailed logs – sent out 7th of each month.
- Performance of Portfolio Reports done bi-weekly (technical).
- Red Flag Analysis Reports done weekly.
- Quarterly Portfolio Performance Reports.
- Asset Owner Feedback meetings – per Asset Owner Frequency.
- Adhoc Performance Analysis Reports for Portfolio’s / Plant Specific.
- Assist Head of Asset Management with Technical Plant Performance Reports.
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with Head of O&M and O&M manager.
- Manage O&M Subcontractors under BOO Assets.
- Represent from a Technical Perspective in terms of plant performances with relevant stakeholders.
- Serve as Technical Representative for various stakeholders under BOO Assets.
- Work Closely with Asset Managers.
People Management:
- Weekly check in with team members and support teams.
- Coach and Develop team members reporting to you.
- Motivate and maintain high team morale and productivity.
- Drive Company Values and Culture to team members.
