We also provide operations and maintenance, asset management, metering and monitoring services through our various divisions.
As we continue to expand our operations and our expertise in battery energy storage solutions (BESS) and maintain our status as the leading C&I IPP, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our team.
PURPOSE:
This role will be responsible for providing IT technical support, advice and guidance for all internal users, by analyzing, evaluating, as well as troubleshooting network and general IT issues.

- A+
- N+
- Microsoft Certification
- IT Diploma / Degree advantageous
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Desktop Technician
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Excellent general communication skills
- Basic ITIL or Service Management understanding
- General desktop support knowledge and strong technical abilities
- General network and network device fault finding.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide on-site technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications on workstations as per company standards and requirements.
- Support end-users with system and application queries, ensuring quick and efficient resolution.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of office hardware, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
- Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and replacements as needed.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in MS Office 365.
- Ensure all devices are secure and up to date with necessary software patches, EDR and Encryption.
- Strict IT asset management and inventory tracking.
- Log all technical issues and resolutions accurately in the service management system daily.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT best practices, systems, and applications.
- Collaborate with the IT team for larger projects, system upgrades, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with vendors to select, quote and where required, perform and installations of all IT related equipment which includes network devices, end-user equipment’s, cabling requirements, printing, audio visual and security equipment.
