Company Overview

Synnefa Green Limited 🌱 is an East African agritech company that designs, manufactures, and deploys Smart Solar Dryers and IoT-enabled post-harvest solutions for smallholder and commercial farmers. Synnefa operates across Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana, reaching 32,000+ farmers through the FarmCloud digital platform and 7,000+ farmers directly through Smart Solar Dryer deployments.

Job Summary

Synnefa has been selected by Shell Foundation (through its implementing partner SDS/QSA Partners) to deliver the West Africa Agri-Solar Project (WAASP) in Ghana. This pilot involves the deployment of two (2) Smart Solar Dryer units (8m × 15m each) in the Bono East Region, in partnership with Complete Farmer Ltd as the in-country implementation partner. To support the WAASP deployment and establish a commercial beachhead in the Ghana market, Synnefa is seeking a Ghana-based Country Consultant to provide on-the-ground operational and business development support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-ground logistics, vendor identification, and coordination support for the WAASP pilot deployment in Bono East Region.
  • Identify and qualify potential customers for Smart Solar Dryers across Ghana’s post-harvest value chains (cocoa, cashew, shea, mango, grains).
  • Map local fabrication partners, technicians, and service providers to support future deployments and after-sales service.
  • Build relationships with potential distribution, off-taker, and institutional partners in the Ghana Market.
  • Provide market intelligence on the post-harvest loss landscape, competitive dynamics, and regulatory environment in Ghana.
