We provide end-to-end solutions that integrate solar driers, smart greenhouses, FarmShield IoT sensors, and FarmCloud record-keeping software to enhance farming efficiency, sustainability, and profitability. Our mission is to empower farmers with technology that simplifies farming and increases incomes.
We are seeking an M&E and Fundraising Intern to support our Business Growth and Enablement team. This role offers hands-on exposure to donor-funded project delivery, monitoring and evaluation, grant writing, partner engagement, and county government advocacy. Working closely with the Grants & Partnerships Lead, the intern will contribute to donor reporting, policy and advocacy briefs, and the coordination and documentation of pilot activities and launch events.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the pilot M&E dashboard; collect field metrics and produce monthly pilot summaries for donor reporting.
- Draft donor updates, concept notes and sections of full proposals; prepare M&E annexes and simple budgets under the Grants and Partnership Lead's editorial guidance.
- Produce full donor reports (narrative + annexes + evidence packages) for the review and final sign-off.
- Support partner mapping, prepare partner briefs, draft MoU templates and manage partner communications for pilot activities.
- Government & advocacy: prepare short county policy/advocacy briefs, support county sensitisation and launch logistics (guest lists, branded materials/gifts for officials, budgets, media plan), and ensure event documentation (images, short write-ups) for donors.
- Coordinate with Finance for budget reconciliations, donor compliance documentation and reimbursements (including government participation where applicable).
- Attend partner and donor calls with Grants and Partnerships Lead; capture minutes, action logs and evidence for reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Recent graduate (< 1 year) in: Journalism, Food and Nutrition, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Science or related fields.
- Demonstrable written English; basic data skills (Excel/Google Sheets); comfortable with fieldwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and willingness to travel to county offices/events.
- Prior experience (desirable): basic experience with donor templates, M&E or working on advocacy/communications assignments (coursework, volunteer or internship).
How to apply;
Apply using your CV and a one-page concept note (300–500 words) for a Solar Dryer pilot. Include: objective, high-level activities, 3 M&E indicators (with data sources), and a one-line indicative budget.
