About Role

As part of a growing Marketing team, the Graphic Designer creates on-brand visual communications that inspire, inform, and captivate our customers and wider target audience.

The ideal candidate should have creative talent and a strong ability to translate requirements into design, with an understanding of the latest trends, and their role within a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and correctly interpret design briefs and determine requirements

  • Maintain designs tracker: Schedule creative tasks, regularly track progress and organize well to meet deadlines

  • Conceptualize visuals based on both regular and ad hoc requirements

  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for approval

  • Understand the Sunculture brand guidelines and ensure all designs are not only visually appealing but also conform to the brand.

  • Customize graphics across various media to ensure conformity and consistency

  • Swiftly amend designs after feedback

  • Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project.

  • Proactively coordinate with external agencies, printers, etc. to complete projects that result from graphic designs, for example printed collateral.

  • Maintains technical knowledge and stay updated on newest creatives/comms trends

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven graphic designing expertise and experience

  • A strong portfolio of previous illustrations or other graphics

  • Expert knowledge of design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for aesthetics and details

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Deadline-oriented: Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

  • Handles rejection well and is flexible

  • Formal qualifications (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) in Design/Fine Arts or related field is a plus
