About the Role:
The Senior Marketing Lead – Lower Tanzania is accountable for increasing customer acquisition, agent engagement and retention, brand growth, product adoption, and working with the commercial team to strengthen revenue performance across Sun King's Lower Tanzania region. The role serves as the primary link between customers, agents, sales teams, and the central marketing function, ensuring local market insights directly shape regional marketing strategies, product positioning, customer experience, and go-to-market execution.
The ideal candidate is not a desk-based marketer. At least 60% of working time is spent in the field interacting directly with customers, agents, sales teams, and community stakeholders. The focus is to continuously uncover actionable insights that shape localized, customer-centred marketing plans, improve business performance, and strengthen Sun King's position across the region by ensuring every marketing initiative is informed by real market insight and delivers measurable commercial value.
The Senior Marketing Lead – Lower Tanzania will be expected to transform field insights into localized marketing plans, marketing plans into commercial results, and marketing investments into measurable returns that accelerate Sun King's growth across the region.
In addition to strengthening brand growth, the Senior Marketing Lead will be accountable for ensuring that all marketing investments deliver measurable business outcomes. The role establishes a culture of commercial accountability by tracking, evaluating, and optimizing the return on marketing investments across all channels and initiatives. Success will be measured not only through awareness and engagement metrics, but also through measurable impact on customer acquisition, sales growth, market penetration, customer retention, and profitability.
The successful candidate will also work closely with the Senior Marketing Lead– Upper Tanzania to exchange best practices, adapt relevant marketing strategies, and work closely when rolling out national customer and agent campaigns and programmes.
