About the role:
The Senior IT Associate will be in charge for maintaining and assistance Sun King’s IT infrastructure, providing user assistance, delivering IT training, and managing endpoint hardware and software. This role requires a broad technical skillset, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work alone and as a team within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in call center technology, IT procurement, cybersecurity, computer networking, and various operating systems.

What you would be expected to do:
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and data storage solutions.
- Ensure network security and data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- User Assistance:
- Provide technical assistance to staff across East and Southern Africa, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document assistance tickets and resolutions.
- IT Training:
- Develop and deliver IT training programs for employees.
- Create training materials and documentation.
- Provide ongoing assistance and guidance to users on IT systems and software.
- Endpoint assistance:
- Manage and maintain endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices).
- Install, configure, and update software applications.
- Perform hardware repairs and upgrades as needed.
- Call Center Technology:
- assistance and maintain call center technology, including VoIP systems and related software.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to call center operations.
- IT Procurement:
- Assist in the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Cybersecurity:
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT systems and data.
- Monitor for security threats and attend to incidents.
- Operating Systems:
- Provide expertise in various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Team work:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure IT needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Emergency assistance:
- Be available to provide assistance outside of normal working hours in case of emergencies.
You might be a strong candidate if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in an IT role.
- Possess strong expertise in call center technology, IT procurement, cybersecurity, computer networking, and operating systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Are skilled in technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, software installation, configuration, and network administration.
- Have knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT procurement processes.
- Possess excellent communication and people relations skills, fluent in English and Malagasy, with the ability to train and present effectively.
- Are highly organized, with strong time management skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work alone or after hours in emergencies.
