About the Role
The Insights Manager will have a strategic role in utilizing data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced statistical methods to ensure that the Risk function initiatives are data centric. They will work in close collaboration with the Global Analytics Team (GAT) to deliver solutions and insights that will improve portfolio management and enable rapid growth of the company revenue while ensuring its financial sustainability. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business strategy, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be key in optimizing credit policies, enhancing operational efficiencies, and shaping business strategies through data-driven insights.

What you would be expected to do:

Strategic Analytics & Business Insights
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities to reduce credit risk exposure and provide data-driven recommendations to improve portfolio quality.
  • Develop and execute advanced analytics solutions, including statistical analysis, forecasting models, and A/B testing, to optimize credit policies and operational processes.
  • Drive the development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to align field agents and staff collection and default reduction activities with business objectives.
  • Interpret data to forecast trends and assess potential risks impacting credit and collections.
Credit & Collections Analytics
  • Support the credit team with ad hoc and periodic requests requiring in-depth analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between the credit team and data science and intelligence sub-departments to develop models that enhance risk assessment and process efficiency.
  • Evaluate collections performance indicators and identify red flags, recommending targeted interventions for each region.
  • Design and conduct surveys aimed at refining credit policies and improving customer segmentation.
3. Process Automation & Optimization
  • Develop actionable roadmaps to enhance credit policies and automate processes using available tools.
  • Collaborate with GAT to create tools that improve data collection, analysis, and process efficiency in the credit and risk teams
  • Partner with the data intelligence and engineering sub-departments to design and optimize data pipelines and workflows to enhance data accessibility and reporting.
4. Data Visualization & Communication
  • Design and develop dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI to support informed decision-making.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business strategy and data-driven initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into actionable strategies and present findings in a structured, visually compelling manner.
5. Leadership & Project Management
  • Lead key projects across multiple teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work to enhance analytical capabilities across the department.
  • Participate in regular management meetings, providing insights that drive operational efficiency and growth.
6. Risk Management & Trend Forecasting
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate the potential impact of risk events on business performance.
  • Forecast market trends and recommend strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
  • Ensure robust data governance and compliance in all credit analytical processes.

You might be a strong candidate if you have:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, strategic analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data insights.
  • Prior experience in project management with a strong ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
Technical Skills:
  • Programming experience in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Strong statistical knowledge and experience with A/B testing, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral, written, and visual) to convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies in data.
