What you would be expected to do:
5S Implementation:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of items.
- Regularly audit and improve the 5S conditions.
Delivery Handling:
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods.
- Prepare and load goods for dispatch.
- Verify delivery notes and ensure accuracy in shipment
Warehouse Cleaning:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to keep the warehouse tidy.
- Dispose of waste materials properly.
- Ensure all work areas are safe and free of hazards.
Administrative Functions:
- Maintain inventory records and update the warehouse management system.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory reconciliation.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Assist in purchasing activities and liaise with suppliers as needed.
You might be a strong candidate if you:
- Hold a Certificate/Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration or any business-related course.
- Have previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Have knowledge of 5S methodology and its implementation.
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- Have good communication skills.
- Are proficient in basic computer applications (e.g. MS Excel).
