The team you would Join:
Sun King’s Global Corporate Risk team identifies, monitors and controls the credit risk inherent in the company’s direct-to-consumer business. The Corporate Risk team works with the company’s PAYG Direct Sales, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to maintain the health of the solar energy loan portfolio. The team continuously examines sales and customer payment-related data, identifies pilots, and executes new sales, collections, and incentive processes. The Corporate Risk team also ensures the company’s customer data privacy and consumer protection efforts.

About the role:
We are looking for ideal candidates with a strong risk management and collections background to join our Risk department as Area Collections Executives. This role offers a unique opportunity for the candidates to leverage their expertise and drive the efforts and processes related to collections of our PAYG products in the field. They will also contribute to improving customer payments and satisfaction, ensuring that the company's offer meets end-users expectations.

What you would be expected to do:

  • Follow up on accounts assigned by the RCM/ZCM on a weekly basis for payments or repossession.
  • Ensure the change of ownership is completed for all resold units.
  • Report any fraudulent activity identified in the field, including tampering or fraudulent actions by agents.
  • Train agents (Energy Officers) on how to handle repossessions and manage difficult customer collection situations.
  • Review the area portfolio and repayment trends to establish daily, weekly, and monthly strategies aimed at improving collection rates from delinquent customers.
  • Conduct market visits to verify the quality of sales and gather insights from different areas to enhance strategic planning and address issues related to disabled lamps and repayments.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

  • Have a degree or diploma related to finance, community development, communication, credit risk management, or other related fields.
  • Have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar position with field experience.
  • Are enthusiastic about working in the field to drive collections, resolve issues, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Have strong experience in Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background in Credit Collections and debt recovery preferable.
  • Have good critical thinking, communication, and people skills.
