What you will be expected to do
- Financial Assessment - Evaluate the creditworthiness of a customer by assessing financial statements, pay slips, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
- Risk Assessment - Assess risks associated with sales of Inverters, considering factors such as customer payment affordability, exposures, market conditions, and repayment feasibility.
- Underwriting Guidelines - Develop criteria tailored to the renewable energy industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organization policies.
- Due Diligence - Conduct thorough due diligence questions on Inverter assessment, including site, technical feasibility, and Installer qualifications.
- Effective Partnership - Work closely with sales, finance, Operations, and project teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment between customer expectations and underwriting outcomes.
- Customer Service - Provide assistance to customers throughout the underwriting process, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuous Improvement - Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in solar financing and underwriting, and proactively suggest enhancements to processes and procedures.
You might be a strong candidate if you have
- A Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in a related field of Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least three [3] years of experience in underwriting, preferably in the financial services or renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies, financial modeling techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities and work under tight deadlines with little or no supervision.
- Commitment to promoting sustainability and renewable energy adoption.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build rapport with customers.
- Good planning and organizational skills
