Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and implement custom applications within the SAP environment. This role involves collaborating with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring optimal system performance and seamless integration with various SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Phase
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- ABAP Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) to meet business requirements.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain interfaces with external systems using technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and web services.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing, support integration testing, and troubleshoot issues in existing programs and systems.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of SAP solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize ABAP code and SQL queries for performance and efficiency, ensuring high system responsiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with a focus on implementation projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ABAP programming language and development tools.
- Experience with SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR.
- Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA is a plus.
- Experience with SAP enhancement techniques such as User Exits, BADI, and BAPI.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and OData services is advantageous.
- Certifications: SAP certification in ABAP or relevant modules is preferred.
