About the Role

We are seeking a people-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our new team in Dakar. In this role, you will drive business performance through the creation and delivery of HR services. Leading a small but growing team, the HR Manager will work to attract talents and create innovative solutions to reward and retain them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to increase productivity and employee satisfaction.
  • A data-driven approach to analyzing and solving complex HR problems, with strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
  • Strong understanding of Senegalese Labor Law, and how it relates to a fast-growing business.
  • Experience in talent acquisition and retention in West Africa.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Passion for working in a social enterprise involving households in off‐grid rural areas.
  • Fluent in French and professional competency in English.
