A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Resident Quality Engineer (f/m/d), you will spend your day working closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product quality, production stability, and delivery performance. A significant portion of your role involves being on-site at supplier locations, leading quality escalations, supporting production recovery, and driving sustainable process improvements. You will analyze manufacturing challenges, coordinate corrective actions, conduct audits, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to strengthen process capability and customer satisfaction. With approximately 25–30% travel, you will play a critical role in maintaining quality excellence across the supply chain.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Deployment to supplier sites as a dedicated quality escalation expert to stabilize production following critical quality, technical, or delivery issues
• Leadership of immediate containment activities to prevent defect escapes, protect customers, and maintain operational continuity
• Development and management of supplier recovery plans including action tracking, milestone management, accountability, and executive reporting
• Execution of root cause analyses, manufacturing process reviews, and quality audits to identify risks, process gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Definition, implementation, validation, and sustainability tracking of corrective and preventive actions to address both short-term and systemic issues
• Collaboration with supplier engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve process capability, product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and long-term performance

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Extensive experience in quality management, manufacturing environments, supplier quality, and production process improvement
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies, Kaizen, supplier recovery activities, and critical manufacturing process assessments
• Proven ability to identify technical failure mechanisms, implement sustainable process improvements, and ensure long-term effectiveness of corrective actions
• Experience working in cross-functional and international environments, ideally with turbine hot gas components or other complex manufacturing technologies
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, combined with fluency in German and English and willingness to travel approximately 25–30% to supplier locations worldwide

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and

decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,

steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings,

modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
