A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for an SGT 800 Specialist to support our gas turbine fleet across Indonesia and the wider Asia Pacific region. You will be a trusted technical partner to our customers, helping their operations continue smoothly. Your day-to-day brings together on-site service and troubleshooting for SGT 800 turbines, proactive maintenance and commissioning activities, and technical advisory conversations with customers, supported by clear and thoughtful reporting. This blend allows you to respond to immediate needs while contributing to the long-term performance of the assets you support.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical topics on SGT 800 gas turbines at customer sites, offering tier-two technical support and prompt emergency response for equipment breakdowns and operational challenges.
- Explore the root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to help prevent recurrence, followed by on-site testing and validation of turbine performance after repairs or modifications.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and overhauls across the SGT 800 fleet, ensuring all maintenance and installation activities align with Siemens Energy's quality and safety standards.
- Lead or support the installation and commissioning of new SGT 800 gas turbines and related equipment, and implement upgrades and retrofits that meet customer needs or enhance performance.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing expert technical advice and support, including guidance on spare parts, potential upgrades, and best practices for turbine operation and maintenance.
- Prepare detailed service reports, trip reports, and technical documentation for all field activities, and train customer personnel on the features, operation, and basic maintenance of their SGT 800 equipment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of hands-on field service experience with rotating equipment, such as gas turbines or steam turbines, with direct experience on Siemens SGT 800 gas turbines being a welcome advantage.
- Confidence working independently, with general supervision, to explore and resolve complex technical topics.
- Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, troubleshooting and problem solving, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and the use of test equipment.
- A quality and process mindset, with strengths in quality assurance, quality control, issue tracking, and analytical thinking.
- Strong customer and stakeholder engagement, including relationship management and the ability to influence and build alignment.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
