This is a remote position.

EAD is looking for a Field Service Engineer with direct experience in servicing integrated industrial solutions with Automation Systems technologies for the Marine, and Oil & Gas industries.

The engineer who takes this position will travel to a customer's site and troubleshoot, test, maintain, and/or commission solutions using Siemens Energy PLC, HMI/SCADA, control systems and industry technology portfolio to satisfy industrial customer requirements or solve problems.. The engineer will coordinate with local engineering teams to recommend and deliver high quality technical solutions.

A successful engineer will have a strong educational and industrial background and extensive hands-on experience. A passion for the field and drive to learn and tackle new challenges is an absolute must. The experienced level engineer must be able to develop customer relationships, be accurate and detailed while working in a fast paced environment with multiple people, calls and projects demanding attention and time. Candidate must also have the willingness to travel extensively in the US and work the hours needed on industrial job sites to complete the tasks at hand.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will commission customized automation solutions, maintain, and fault find marine automation/control systems.
  • You will learn the latest industrial solutions and developments within Siemens Energy, and collaborate with designers to test, commission, troubleshoot and / or update integrated system drawings.
  • Your proficiency will be needed in planning workload and specific tasks, and your drive toward timely completions.
  • Provide direct technical support to customers from requests in case management system
  • Manage Remote connection system to customer sites
  • Mostly domestic with some international travel to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities is required (up to 80%) with international training a potential requirement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 5+ years of relevant experience in Marine or a related industry. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Hands on PLC/SCADA experience is required with a background in Automation / Control System Solution Design or Service/Commissioning.
  • Familiarity with North American and international codes and standards, OSHA, and safety and lock-out / tag-out procedures.
  • Motivated and passionate about the role, and strength in organization and communication skills.
  • You will preferably have
    • Marine, Drilling or Offshore production working experience
    • Variable Frequency Drive Systems experience
    • Siemens Automation hands on experience (S7, TIA, PCS7)

For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $97,370 to $129,220 annually, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
