A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Service Technician, you will join the dedicated technician team supporting Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbines at the Ras Gharib wind farm.

You will perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, complete mechanical and electrical repairs, and support the safe and reliable operation of wind turbine generators. Working both independently and as part of the site team, you will contribute to turbine availability, operational performance, and safe service execution.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Plan and execute assigned preventive and corrective maintenance activities on wind turbine generators.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems on site.
  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs and complete associated work orders.
  • Execute ramp-up, setup, and start-up procedures to prepare equipment for operation.
  • Support installation activities and collaborate with responsible Industrial Engineers.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation related to equipment, maintenance activities, and processes.
  • Coordinate and perform defined service operations and resolve technical issues affecting customer equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to applicable procedures and technical requirements.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements, internal processes, and applicable regulations.
  • Support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of SGRE wind turbines.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant technical experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in technical maintenance, service, troubleshooting, or repair activities.
  • Experience working as a Technician, Competent Technician, Maintenance Technician, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the renewable energy or wind industry is considered an advantage.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial or technical environment.
