How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyze customer requirements and develop innovative ceramic and high-temperature coating solutions for gas turbines and energy technologies.
- Drive projects across the full lifecycle, from research and development through qualification, manufacturing scale-up, and production implementation.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, suppliers, research institutions, and customers to advance materials and process technologies.
- Serve as a technical interface across engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and service organizations.
- Lead the development and application of ceramic materials, thermal barrier coatings, corrosion-resistant coatings, and thermal spray technologies.
- Identify opportunities for public funding and research partnerships to accelerate high-value R&D initiatives.
- Apply project management principles and PLM methodologies to drive execution, manage stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.
- Travel domestically and internationally to support technology development, testing, and customer engagement.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in ceramics, coatings, materials engineering, or advanced manufacturing. Candidates with additional experience may be considered for senior-level opportunities.
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following:
- Ceramic coatings
- Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs)
- Corrosion-resistant coatings
- Thermal spray technologies
- High-temperature materials and processes
- Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement technical solutions.
- Familiarity with project management practices and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical knowledge into practical applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience within power generation, gas turbines, energy, aerospace, or other high-temperature industrial applications.
- Experience working on global teams and coordinating international technology development efforts.
- Familiarity with public funding opportunities, government-sponsored research programs, and collaborative R&D initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, align diverse stakeholders, and successfully transition technologies from development to production.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
