A Snapshot of Your Day

In a single Finance Excellence Academy (FEA) rotation, you will gain exposure to a specific business area while learning about the technical side of Siemens Energy's products and technologies. You will see firsthand how finance supports strategic decision-making, drives business performance, and helps power the global energy market.

Throughout your rotation, you will partner with finance leaders and cross-functional teams to support forecasting, budgeting, month-end close activities, financial analysis, and management reporting. You will work with tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other financial systems to analyze data, identify trends, and deliver insights that influence key business decisions.

You may also contribute to process improvement, automation, and AI-driven initiatives as we continuously strive to increase efficiency and embrace new technologies. Each rotation offers a unique opportunity to build technical expertise, strengthen business knowledge, and expand your professional network. Through collaboration with experienced finance professionals, you will gain real-world exposure to the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of energy.

Program Overview

Join the Siemens Energy North America Finance Excellence Academy for a 24-month rotational program designed to develop early career professionals. Participants will complete four sequential 6-month assignments across various business areas and corporate functions, gaining hands-on experience in locations such as Orlando, Houston, Alpharetta, Raleigh, and Charlotte.

The Finance Excellence Academy is designed to enhance your finance career through dynamic experience, diverse locations, networking, and professional development. Assignments are structured to provide exposure to different professional environments and business models, helping you refine your career path and build a strong foundation in finance.

Experience a wide range of finance roles, including Financial Accounting, Service Operations Finance, Manufacturing Operations Finance, Commercial Project Management, and Sales & Business Controlling. Additionally, gain exposure to different professional environments by working in offices located in Orlando, Houston, Alpharetta, Raleigh, Charlotte, and more.

Build a strong professional network through mentorship opportunities and networking events with business leaders. These connections will support your career growth beyond the program, creating a network of like-minded professionals who are committed to your growth.

Relocation & Travel: Willing and able to relocate within the US.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, financial analysis, project finance, and business controlling activities across rotations
  • Analyze financial and operational data using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other systems to deliver actionable insights
  • Partner with finance leaders and cross-functional teams to improve reporting, inform decisions, and strengthen business performance
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and AI-driven initiatives that increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Build finance, business, and leadership capabilities through meaningful assignments, mentorship, and collaboration across the organization

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, data analytics, or other business-related fields graduating by May 2027
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and relevant prior work experience
  • Interest in data analytics, corporate functions, project management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights
  • Preferred experience with Excel and other data tools such as PowerBI, Snowflake, and/or Alteryx
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a curious, proactive working style
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while contributing to a fast-paced team environment
