About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
- Implement and maintain the financial “Wall to Wall” concept for Power Turbine activities, develop cost models driven by customer scope requirements, and partner with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate financial governance and cost transparency for equipment managed under the PCC.
- Collaborate with Governance stakeholders and the Repair & Overhaul Center in Montreal to develop and manage cost estimates and support the establishment of Power Turbine build and repair standards for inclusion in the AGT Standard Definition Document (SDD), enabling accurate and competitive sales bids.
- Support AGT New Units projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from proposal and bid support through execution, providing financial analysis, project controlling, forecasting, and commercial support to Project Managers to ensure projects remain financially and operationally on track.
- Participate in Power Turbine Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews with the Montreal team, manage inventory-related financial activities including risk and internal controls, and support the identification and resolution of financial issues impacting project and operational performance.
- Lead and support the resolution of invoice and EDI discrepancies for Mods & Upgrades projects and Parts Orders, perform monthly Balance Sheet reviews including Invoice Receipt/Goods Receipt accounts and ICC balances, and provide timely approvals for key requests such as freight funding and vendor cost increases.
- Provide financial and commercial support for Power Turbine kit procurement and quoting activities, resolve complex vendor invoice issues, analyze vendor pricing and cost trends for New Units, and identify opportunities to improve cost management, purchasing effectiveness, and financial performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant accounting qualifications may also be considered.
- 5+ years of related professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Controlling, or a comparable business environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and other relevant financial and analytical tools, with the ability to analyze financial data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Prior experience in Operations Finance, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Commercial Project Management, Procurement Finance, or a project-based manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Solution-oriented and assertive with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions, work through complex issues, and build strong relationships with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and project teams.
