A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Energy and take ownership of the commercial success of complex projects from bid preparation to project delivery. You will work closely with Sales, Offer, and Project Management teams to shape winning commercial strategies, manage project financial performance, and secure healthy cash flow throughout the project lifecycle. From contract negotiations and risk assessment to revenue recognition, invoicing, and claims management, you will play a key role in balancing business growth with sound commercial governance. How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead the commercial scope during bidding activities, including contract review, pricing strategy, cost calculations, financing concepts, payment terms, FX and hedging considerations, guarantees, insurance, export control, and compliance assessments.
- Partner with Sales, Offer teams, factories, delivery teams, customers, and consortium partners to identify commercial risks, develop mitigation measures, and support successful contract negotiations.
- Drive commercial project execution by managing SAP project setup, financial planning, cost controlling, and project commercial performance from project launch through closure.
- Manage change orders, claims, insurance claims, invoicing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and cash collection, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution of commercial topics.
- Collaborate with PMs, Controlling, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Insurance, and audit teams to achieve commercial targets, ensure compliance, support audits, and continuously improve commercial execution processes.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, International Trade, Business Administration, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.
- You bring 2+ years of experience in commercial or finance project management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure, transmission, or engineering delivery projects.
- You have solid knowledge of project finance, commercial management, cost calculation, revenue recognition (IFRS, CCM), contract management, change management, and risk management.
- You communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and are comfortable presenting, negotiating, and building relationships across functions and organizations.
- You have strong written and spoken English skills.
- You have experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Domestic and international travel may be required. Knowledge of SAP, digitalization/low-code solutions, hedging, financing concepts, guarantees, insurance, or export control is an advantage.
