A Snapshot of Your Day

As the EHS Lead for Europe & Africa region, you will be responsible for leading the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function across the region, driving the implementation of the EHS strategy, strengthening a Zero Harm culture, and ensuring consistent EHS governance, compliance, and performance across all Grid Technologies Service operations, projects, and field service activities. You will partner closely with regional leadership, operational teams, and country stakeholders to enhance safety performance, manage risk, and support sustainable business growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define and execute the EHS strategy and roadmap for Grid Technologies Service across Europe & Africa, aligning with regional and global business objectives.
  • Lead and support subregional EHS teams, serving as the key advisor to leadership and ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards and legal requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture through visible leadership, coaching, field engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive EHS performance management, including incident investigations, risk reviews, audits, reporting, and corrective action implementation.
  • Integrate EHS into project execution, field service operations, contractor management, and business growth activities across the region.
  • Foster collaboration, best-practice sharing, and innovation by leveraging digital EHS solutions, data analytics, and partnerships with Quality, Training, and Operational Excellence teams.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Significant leadership experience in EHS within energy, industrial, construction, project, or field service environments.
  • Proven experience, at least 7/8 years, leading EHS programs across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build high-performing teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.

The total compensation package for this position, including both fixed and variable components, ranges between € 65.000 – € 85.000 gross per year.
Salary ranges for this role are provided in accordance with applicable local legislation. The stated range is based on the Italian labour market.
Where a role may be performed in multiple locations in Italy or abroad, compensation will vary depending on factors such as market conditions, including the local cost of living, as well as experience and qualifications. In such cases, the specific salary range for the location of interest will be communicated in the early stages of the recruitment process and, in any case, before any potential offer of employment is made.
