Offshore Heavy Lift TDSU

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Offshore Heavy Lift TDSU, you will play a key role in supporting safe and controlled HSBM Turning Device operations during offshore major component exchange campaigns. Working onboard jack-up vessels and offshore wind turbine sites, you will lead Turning Device activities, supervise users, verify equipment readiness, provide first-line technical support, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures. You will collaborate closely with Team Leads, Vessel Managers, lifting teams, engineering, EHS, and customer stakeholders to safely deliver Heavy Lift operations while maintaining equipment reliability and supporting return-to-service objectives.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead and supervise TDU operations during installation, maintenance, repair, and component exchange activities.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, lift plans, permit systems, and safety standards.
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting and technical support for TDU equipment.
  • Verify equipment readiness, inspections, tooling suitability, and task controls.
  • Coach TDU users on safe operation, handovers, and defect reporting.
  • Support toolbox talks, risk assessments, and shift handovers.
  • Coordinate with lifting teams, crane operators, technicians, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
  • Escalate safety, technical, and operational risks as required.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and stop work when necessary.

What you need to make a difference:

  • Experience as an HSBM Turning Device User (TDU).
  • TDSU qualification or willingness to obtain Super User certification.
  • Offshore wind, heavy lift, major component exchange, or crane operation experience.
  • Knowledge of PTW systems, RAMS, risk assessments, and lifting operations.
  • Mechanical experience with tooling, hydraulics, or rotating equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
  • Experience coaching or supporting technicians in safety-critical environments.
  • Good communication, reporting, and digital documentation skills.
  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Valid offshore certifications (GWO, HUET, offshore medical) and willingness to travel.
