A Snapshot of Your Day
Join the LIF team in Construction & Operation as HSE Lifting Specialist (f/m/d) and play a pivotal role in ensuring offshore lifting operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You author and implement operational control documents and standards, support the lifting team with document review and HSE expertise, and help develop the training frameworks that build competency across site-based personnel. When incidents occur, you support investigations, identify root causes, and drive the implementation of corrective actions to strengthen the safety culture across the lifting community. Through active engagement in international safety committees and ongoing knowledge sharing, you help set the benchmark for lifting safety across Siemens Gamesa's offshore operations.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Author and implement SE WP internal operational control documents and standards for lifting activities, supporting the offshore lifting team with document review and HSE expertise
- Maintain an overview of lifting-related incident reports, support incident investigations to identify root causes, and drive the implementation of corrective actions
- Support training development and competency frameworks for site-based lifting personnel, and provide HSE expertise to lifting engineers to inform equipment design decisions
- Support Sales and Procurement with HSE lifting-related queries and promote a strong lifting safety culture across the organisation
- Maintain active membership in international safety committees, staying current with industry best practices and safety advancements
What You Bring
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification such as the NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent, combined with recognised certification in lifting operations (e.g., CPCS A61, LEEA AP, NCCCO Lift Director, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of lifting legislation, standards, and best practices, with proficiency in developing and implementing procedures and guidelines for lifting operations and equipment
- Thorough understanding of lifting equipment maintenance, inspection, and thorough examination, alongside experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures
- Demonstrated leadership in technical governance and safety-critical environments, with excellent communication skills to influence and engage across all levels of the organisation
- High ethical standards with a proactive approach to promoting integrity and challenging unethical behaviours
