As a Field Service Engineer, you will have the chance to work on world-class projects, contributing to the flawless installation and maintenance of groundbreaking gas turbines.

This is a home-based role. You will travel more than 90% of the time within Taiwan (Taoyuan, Mailiao, Tainan, and Kaohsiung) and Internationally.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a turbine field service specialist, you will be a skilled partner in all areas associated with the new installation and service of gas turbines. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing complex and technically demanding work within your area of expertise at both new unit installation and operating units’ maintenance service sides.

• Taking part in open boxes inspection for all components supplied by Siemens Energy.

• Maintaining tools, fixtures, and equipment to ensure flawless operation.

• Collaborating closely with site leads, supervisors, and fellow employees to meet customer needs.

• Regularly reporting to your line manager, project manager, and planner.

• Keeping all necessary working records from the erection company and teammates, and providing all required documentation and reports in a timely manner according to procedure.

• Performing hands-on work on rotating machine core engine assembly/disassembly and auxiliary maintenance work.

• Assisting in handling spare parts, service tools, installation tools, consumables, and documentation within the project scope.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on power generation or rotation equipment is preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in power generation engineering or manufacturing technical supervision or hands-on experience in mechanical assembly. Familiarity with the installation sequence of gas turbines and auxiliary systems.
  • Experience in power plant rotating machine (Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine) installation and service (core engine disassembly/assembly) is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of project drawings and installation requirements, and familiarity with the sequence of product change management.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese, skilled in written and verbal communication across various organizations.
  • Ability to work and excel in high demand working environments on a strict timeline. Able to work on a shift schedule as needed by the work schedule.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on short notice for work assignments

You will work within a highly skilled and motivated onsite team. You will use your learned skills to perform specialized tasks given to you by the senior site leader. As experienced Siemens Energy professional you will also lead teams of junior members or subcontractors to fulfill tasks according to strict quality standard.
