About the Role
In our HVDC Communication Team, you will test, verify, and deploy robust network infrastructures, SCADA interfaces, and HMI concepts for innovative HVDC (High-Voltage Direct Current) projects. Whether in our advanced test centers or during worldwide site commissioning, your expertise ensures that vital power grids run reliably, securely, and seamlessly. Working alongside multinational experts in system engineering and project management, your daily work directly drives the decarbonization of energy systems around the globe.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You are responsible for technically flawless, on-time and economical handling of the commissioning of HVDC systems on our construction sites (worldwide) especially for data networks and individual components of network communication SCADA- Level
- Responsibility for the commissioning, support, and control of the predominantly TCP/IP-based network infrastructure, HMI concept, and their purpose-specific adaptation
- Responsibility for time synchronization as well as the local and remote signal converter and thus interface to all other involved signal suppliers
- Support for other commissioning components as well as customers and external partners in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces
- Support for IBS management in quality, risk, and claim management
- Participation in improvement programs (including Lean, reviews, and lessons learned)
- Completed vocational training or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in network administration (switches, firewalls), HMI fundamentals, and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of network protocols (including TCP/IP and RADIUS), network security, and the use of electrical schematics and measurement equipment; certification as a Qualified Electrician (EFK) is an advantage
- Excellent German and English language skills, along with strong communication abilities to convey complex technical information clearly and precisely
- High willingness to travel and global mobility for long-term assignments at national and international project sites, including offshore platforms; a valid Class B driver's license is required
- Team-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions, combined with an interest in further development as a Commissioning Manager, Technical Expert (m/f/d), or Project Manager
