A Snapshot of Your Day

As an R&D Technical Representative within Product & Process Qualification, you will play a key role in ensuring that our suppliers have the technical capabilities required to manufacture components for our gas turbines with high quality, performance, and delivery precision. You will serve as the technical interface between Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and our internal and external suppliers.

This is a newly established role, created to further strengthen our supplier qualification and technical development efforts across the supply chain. You will be part of a cross-functional team working closely with colleagues from our Compressor, Turbine, Combustion, and Materials Laboratory disciplines. At the same time, you will be organizationally affiliated with one of these departments, providing a strong technical foundation and opportunities to contribute specialist expertise within your area.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and qualifying new suppliers while supporting the development of existing suppliers. The suppliers can be found all over the world. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that technical requirements are understood, implemented, and fulfilled throughout the supply chain. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to influence our future products and supplier network.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Represent the R&D organization in the qualification and development of new and existing suppliers, ensuring that technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and process requirements are understood and implemented by our manufacturers.
  • Perform technical evaluations, audits, and capability assessments of suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure robust supplier solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvements in manufacturing processes, product quality, and supplier performance.
  • Contribute to the development of methods, processes, and strategies for supplier qualification.

What You Bring

  • You are a driven and communicative person who enjoys building relationships and achieving results together with others.
  • You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and industrial quality requirements.
  • You have experience working in a technical role related to manufacturing, quality, engineering, or suppliers.
  • You are analytical and structured, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
  • You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in supplier development, welding, machining, casting, or other manufacturing processes is considered an advantage.

We Believe You Are

A person who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine interest in collaboration and problem-solving. You thrive at the intersection of engineering, quality, and business, and are motivated by developing both suppliers and ways of working to ensure high-quality products. You are confident in representing the engineering organization and are driven to create long-term, sustainable solutions together with colleagues and suppliers.

About the Team You will be part of one of our Component Departments (Compressor, Combustion, or Turbine), consisting of approximately 60 to 100 employees. Within these departments, our design engineering groups typically comprise around 20 engineers. The teams are responsible for the design and development of gas turbine components for our SGT-600, SGT-700, SGT-750, and SGT-800 gas turbines. Here, deep technical expertise is combined with an open and collaborative environment where questions, teamwork, and continuous learning are encouraged.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

We can offer you employment benefits such as: reduction of working hours, advance vacation, health care allowance and an eventual possibility to a flexible working place.
