A Snapshot of Your Day
Join the Siemens Energy North America Finance Excellence Academy Internship Program for Summer 2027. This structured internship is designed to provide students with hands-on experience across finance functions and business areas. Based in locations such as Orlando, Houston, Alpharetta, Raleigh, or Charlotte, you will apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, build practical financial skills, and learn from experienced professionals.
During the internship, you may explore areas such as accounting, service and manufacturing operations finance, commercial project management, sales, and business controlling. You will receive support from a dedicated full-time FEA mentor, participate in targeted technical and professional development, and build connections with fellow interns and Siemens Energy colleagues. You will also gain insight into the energy industry, its customers, and the role finance plays in supporting business performance. Strong performance during the internship may lead to consideration for the full-time FEA program after graduation.
Program Overview
As an FEA intern, you will be assigned to one finance area for the summer, where you will learn about the business and the technical aspects of Siemens Energy’s products and technologies. Through meaningful assignments and exposure to day-to-day finance activities, you will see how finance supports strategic decisions, improves business performance, and contributes to the global energy market.
Throughout the internship, you will work alongside finance leaders and cross-functional teams on projects that may include forecasting, budgeting, month-end close support, financial analysis, and management reporting. With guidance from your team, you will use tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other financial systems to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights that support business decisions.
You may also support process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives that help teams work more efficiently. The internship provides an opportunity to develop technical skills, expand your business knowledge, and grow your professional network in a supportive learning environment. By collaborating with experienced finance professionals, you will gain practical experience and a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of energy.
