About the Role
- Lead and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities for high voltage substations, ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution of all site works.
- Verify compliance of civil works with approved drawings, specifications, standards, method statements, and quality requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity, resource allocation, and progress against project schedules, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate inspections, manage non-conformances and punch-list items, and support successful quality assurance and project handover activities.
- Drive effective collaboration across engineering, QA/QC, EHS, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare accurate site reports, progress updates, documentation, and technical feedback to support project controls, decision-making, and stakeholder transparency.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 8-12 years of site supervision or civil construction experience in high voltage substations, power transmission, or comparable industrial infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of substation civil works, including earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, foundations, buildings, cable trenches, roads, drainage systems, and finishing works.
- Proven ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, schedules, and multidisciplinary project documentation.
- Experience in quality control processes, inspections, material approvals, non-conformance management, contractor supervision, and progress verification.
- Solid understanding of construction safety requirements and EHS practices within high-risk industrial or energized project environments.
- Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project preferred.
