Join a team driving the future of smart manufacturing in Siemens Energy’s Switchgears plant in Wuxi. You will design, implement, and optimize automated production systems that improve operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. From programming PLC/SCADA systems and integrating robotics to commissioning advanced manufacturing technologies, you will play a key role in modernizing production operations. Your work will support both new automation initiatives and the continuous enhancement of existing production lines, helping the factory achieve Industry 4.0 standards and manufacturing excellence.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • You will design, program, and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems that power automated switchgear manufacturing and testing operations.
  • You will lead the deployment, commissioning, and integration of automated production lines, robotic cells, and industrial network solutions to support smart factory initiatives.
  • You will develop electrical schematics, system architectures, and technical specifications while ensuring seamless connectivity between shop-floor equipment and MES/IT systems.
  • You will provide expert troubleshooting and maintenance support for complex automation and control systems, helping maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • You will drive Industry 4.0 improvements by identifying automation opportunities, implementing data-driven solutions, and mentoring technicians and engineers on advanced automation technologies.
What You Bring
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • You bring 5-8 years of experience in factory automation engineering, ideally within electrical equipment, switchgear, or heavy machinery manufacturing environments.
  • You have a proven track record of leading automation projects from concept and design through commissioning, supported by strong project management capabilities.
  • You possess expertise in PLC/SCADA systems, Data Acquisition, Industrial IoT (IIoT), OT cybersecurity fundamentals, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • You communicate effectively in English, excel at cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, demonstrate a self-driven mindset and strong presentation skills, and are willing to travel domestically up to 10%.
