About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will work in a team of domain experts, in which your tasks include clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any necessary corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the Accounts Receivable Senior Analyst.
You will take ownership of daily Accounts Receivable transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.
You will be expected to collaborate and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy’s global communities.
Listen actively and continuously focused on stakeholder requests, managing complex and uncertain operational issues, while decisively moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the Accounts Receivable Senior Analyst.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform payment allocation activities, both manual and automated, proactively resolving unallocated/problem amounts, and maintaining or improving automated payment allocation tools where applicable.
- Execute approved subledger correction postings, including the management and write-off of differences, while supporting accurate Accounts Receivable accounting processes.
- Conduct account reconciliations with external customers, including processing customer balance confirmations, dunning letters, and follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Prepare and deliver documented KPI reporting and general Accounts Receivable reporting, while ensuring stability and accuracy during monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Support internal controls, audits, and process documentation by assisting with controls documentation, providing information for internal and external audits, resolving auditor queries, and maintaining or creating Desktop Procedure (DTP) documentation for existing and new processes.
- Contribute to the standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of Accounts Receivable and cross-functional processes, while supporting Senior and Principal Analysts and assisting with ad hoc activities required by management to meet business needs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (mandatory).
- Experience in Accounts Receivable Accounting and Finance Operations, with a basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS accounting is considered an advantage.
- Good MS Office skills, particularly in MS Excel.
- Understanding business processes in SAP is desirable.
- Experience with transition and transformation projects is a plus, along with a willingness to travel for knowledge transfer activities, training sessions, and workshops when required.
- Strong communication skills, an open and collaborative mindset, and fluent English proficiency complete your profile.
