A Snapshot of Your Day

As Siemens Energy’s primary representative in East Malaysia with focus in Sarawak, you will cultivate trusted relationships across the business lifecycle to drive customer success. You will anticipate market developments, foster government and stakeholder engagement, and provide strategic advice, particularly in the context power generation, grid development, energy transition initiatives and industrial development opportunities. Your role includes:

• Leading market and competitor analysis to support growth opportunities
• Engaging with government officials and regulators to navigate policy impacts
• Managing customer accounts, identifying needs, and resolving challenges
• Advising on geopolitical trends and their effects on business strategy

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Customer care along the entire life cycle of the business:
• Proactive relationship building with new and existing customers
• For defined accounts, develop deep understanding of customer needs, state priorities, investment direction, pain points, procurement signals and local partnership requirements; share actionable insights with Siemens Energy business areas and country leadership.
• Support Business Areas in lead detection, issue management, customer engagement preparation and opportunity shaping, particularly before tenders, state-led project announcements or formal procurement processes begin.

• Positioning Siemens Energy externally for success:
• Represent Siemens Energy in selected industry forums, state-level platforms, university engagements and thought-leadership discussions, including relevant energy, infrastructure, sustainability and transition topics.
• Strengthen Siemens Energy brand awareness through local stakeholder engagement, customer events, university partnerships, CSR/ESG initiatives and targeted communications aligned with development priorities.

• Defining country strategy and identifying areas with unleveraged potential:
• Continuously maintain the market and stakeholder map, including Sarawak and Sabah state priorities, utilities, state-linked companies, energy infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, competitors and local ecosystem stakeholders.
• Identify state-led white spaces, early-stage project signals, partnership opportunities and attractive adjacent markets across Sarawak and Sabah, including power generation, grid development, energy transition initiatives and industrial development opportunities.
• Support Managing Director in defining and refreshing East Malaysia strategy inputs, government-affairs priorities, country-footprint insights and customer engagement themes.

• Implementing country strategy & initiatives:
• Support implementation of country strategy initiatives related to East Malaysia customers, state government stakeholders, local partnerships, universities, ESG/CSR initiatives and industry platforms.
• Drive opportunity radar, project identification, partnership-development inputs and cross-Business Areas follow-through for focused accounts and opportunities.
• Support government-affairs and state-level engagement where required, incl. with relevant state agencies.

Experience

• Sarawak presence and deep existing network are strongly preferred, with credibility across state government, state-linked companies, utilities and local ecosystem partners.
• Ability to build local relationship maps, identify projects before procurement, develop partnerships and translate signals into concrete business actions.
• Entrepreneurial, politically sensitive, locally credible, independent and comfortable operating with limited structure in a relationship-driven market environment.
• Strong leadership skills within matrix organization is a plus.
