About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As Siemens Energy’s primary representative in Malaysia, you will lead market intelligence and customer ecosystem development across Peninsular Malaysia as Siemens Energy Malaysia’s market strategy engine.
You will build trusted relationships with customers, regulators, utilities, industry bodies, universities, and ecosystem partners across Peninsular Malaysia, while translating market signals into country strategy and growth actions.
You will strengthen Siemens Energy’s positioning in power generation, grid, and adjacent energy-transition opportunities across Peninsular Malaysia, supporting the Managing Director on country strategy, government affairs, customer care, statutory governance, and local footprint priorities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Customer care along the entire life cycle of the business:
- Proactive relationship building with new and existing customers
- For defined accounts, develop deep understanding of customer needs, priorities, pain points, procurement signals and future investment directions; share actionable insights with SE business areas and country leadership.
- Support Business Areas in lead detection, issue management, customer engagement preparation and opportunity shaping, particularly before tenders or formal procurement processes begin.
- Positioning SE externally for success:
- Represent Siemens Energy in selected industry forums, trade associations and thought-leadership platforms, including relevant power, grid and energy-transition discussions.
- Strengthen Siemens Energy brand awareness through customer events, university partnerships, campus engagements and targeted communications aligned with Malaysia’s energy-transition priorities.
- Defining country strategy and identifying areas with unleveraged potential:
- Continuously maintain the market map, including power generation, grid, IPPs, industrial customers, policy developments, regulatory movements, competitors and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Identify white spaces, under-served customer segments, policy-driven opportunities and attractive adjacent markets across Peninsular Malaysia, including grid modernization, APG-related developments and energy-transition infrastructure.
- Support the Managing Director in defining and refreshing country strategy inputs, government-affairs priorities and customer engagement themes for Peninsular Malaysia.
- Implementing country strategy & initiatives:
- Support implementation of country strategy initiatives related to Peninsular Malaysia customers, government stakeholders, local partnerships, universities and industry platforms.
- Drive opportunity radar, capture-plan inputs and cross-Business Areas follow-through for Peninsular Malaysia accounts.
- Support statutory governance and selected government-affairs engagement where required, including (but not limited to) energy-related ministries and relevant agencies such as the Energy Commission, Grid System Operator, Single Buyer and MYPOWER.

Experience
- Strong external orientation with the ability to build stakeholder coverage across customers, regulators, industry bodies, universities and ecosystem partners.
- Ability to translate weak market signals into structured opportunity radar, country strategy inputs, account priorities and cross-BA action plans.
- Experience with or strong understanding of Peninsular Malaysia’s power, grid and energy-policy environment is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial, politically sensitive, locally credible, independent and comfortable operating with limited structure in a relationship-driven market environment.
- Strong leadership skills within matrix organization is a plus.
